Papal Election
The Cardinals start voting in Rome today to elect a new Pope with still no clear frontrunner in sight. The 115 cardinal-electors have attended a special Mass this morning before they go into the Sistine Chapel to begin their deliberations in the afternoon. Joining Pat live from St. Peter’s Square is Fergal Keane who has been watching the Mass, Fr. Michael Collins who is following developments in Rome for us this week and Catholic church historian Michael Walsh, who will talk about the history of the conclave and the secrecy involved.
