    As we heard earlier in the programme the horse meat scandal is spreading across Europe with the French authorities suggesting that a law banning horses from Romanian roads may be responsible for a surge in the sale of horse meat on the European market.     The EU's police cooperation agency Europol is now involved in the hunt for dealers who sold horsemeat labelled as beef. .plans are also being drawn up for the large scale testing of beef products across Europe to check if they contain horse DNA. The scandal has affected at least 12 countries and here the Irish food group Greencore has been drawn into the controversy. Editor of the Farmers Journal Matt Dempsey joined Pat this morning.
