GAA in Spain

John's next guest fled Baghdad in 1991 following the George Bush Snr invasion of Iraq, Akilless Haider found himself working in an Irish pub in Spain & it was there he got infected with the GAA bug, becoming goalkeeper with the local club the Costa Gaels. Akilless joins John on the line from Spain.

Sporting Underdogs

Sporting Underdogs

We are now accepting applications for our 'Sporting Underdogs' programme, where The John Murray Show chooses to get behind a small sports club which is, shall we say, under-achieving in its field. Joining Neil this morning are Adrian Twomey from La Laoch Dall Archery Club & Aidan Lenehan, co manager of the Wild Geese GAA Club in Dublin.
