The political parties are coming out of their summer sojourn and today not one, not two, but three of them will gather for their think-ins in advance of the resumption of Dail business on Wednesday. Seven former members of the Fine Gael party are meeting tomorrow to plan their role in the Dail which resumes next week. Already there appears to be differing views in government on how soon they should be re-introduced to the Fine Gael family. Earlier this week Transport Minister Leo Varadkar said he would like to see a way for them to re-join the government but when Environment Minister Phil Hogan was in with us last week he was less conciliatory.
