Plenty to sink out teeth into in this week’s Gathering. At the World Cup, the name on everyone’s lips was Luis Suarez, who has received a 4 month ban by FIFA for biting Italy’s Giorgio Chillini. Away from the sporting arena, Fianna Fail expelled Brian Crowley after he joined the European Conservative and Reformist (ECR) grouping. Meanwhile former prime minister of Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Juncker is expected to be appointed next president of the European Commission later today. To talk about this and more were Fiach Kelly, political correspondent with the Irish Times; Fianna Fail Agriculture Spokesman Eamon O’Cuiv and Fine ...http://www.rte.ie/radio1/today-with-sean-o-rourke/programmes/2014/0627/626902-today-with-sean-o-rourke-friday-27-june-2014/?clipid=1614450

For a look back at those stories – and also a look forward to the Reform Alliance meeting tomorrow – Sean was joined in studio by Pat Leahy, ...http://www.rte.ie/radio1/today-with-sean-o-rourke/programmes/2014/0124/499868-today-with-sean-o-rourke-friday-24-january-2014/?clipid=1401751
There’s nothing like a bit of political musical chairs to spice things up in constituency politics. And today’s Irish Independent says that former Fianna Fail TD, Chris Andrews is set to run for Sinn Fein in the local elections and possibly in the next general election. Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams didn’t confirm or deny the story when he was asked about it earlier on Morning Ireland. On the line was Fiach Kelly, political correspondent of the Irish Independent.http://www.rte.ie/radio1/today-with-sean-o-rourke/programmes/2013/0906/472601-today-with-sean-o-rourke-friday-6-september-2013/?clipid=1304379
