    It is suspected that Ireland has its first case of Ebola. Dessie Quinn from Mountcharles in Co Donegal was found dead after returning from working in Sierra Leone. Initially it was thought he had died from malaria but now his body is being tested for Ebola. Joining Sean was the local priest Fr Adrian Gavigan and Professor Sam McConkey who is head of the Department of International Health and Tropical Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons.

    As the Ebola outbreak continues across Western Africa, with a death toll approaching 1,000, much of the debate has now turned to drug research, and the question – why do we still know so little about this virus?  Joining Keelin was Professor John Ashton, President of the UK Faculty of Public Health, who wrote in the English Independent last week that if the virus arrived in London, a cure would be found.
