Bothar was 21 years old just before Christmas. Julianne Maher is TJ Maher's daughter and she , and indeed he, were intimately involved in setting up Bothar, one of Ireland's most successful charity aimed at the developing world. TJ was a giant in Irish farming, one time head of the IFA, and poll topping MEP for the Munster region. Julianne has worked with the Red Cross and these days works for a unique community service, CEART Health Partnership, based in Callan, Co Kilkenny..
