The crisis at the BBC seems to be escalating this morning with the breaking news that the news director Helen Boaden and her deputy Stephen Mitchell are to stand aside over the failure to air a recent investigation into allegations of child abuse against Jimmy Savile This Follows the resignation of the BBC’s George Enthwistle at the weekend.
