Following on the success of his parenting series The Family Meeting, RTÉ Radio 1 has invited Dr. Tony Humphreys to present a new 6 part series examining adult couple relationships.

Tony will be joined by two couples who discuss their relationships with him throughout the series - "a brave thing to do" says Tony in the opening programme, "particularly in Ireland where we don't tend to talk out about what happens within relationships and within families".

Throughout the series Tony will advise his guests and listeners on ways to improve their relationships.  Explaining the title of the series, Tony says "In every couple relationship there are three relationships; the relationship of each partner with themselves and the relationship between the two; the relationship with self being the most important".  Throughout the series Tony reminds listeners that a good relationship with self also benefits the couple relationship.

Tony is a clinical psychologist and the author of a number of books including 'Myself, My Partner', 'Leaving The Nest', 'Whose Life are you Living', and his most recent publication 'The Mature Manager'.

The series was recorded in Cork and produced and edited in Waterford by Jacqui Corcoran.
