Marriage Counselling Before The I Do's
Wedding season is in full flight and the latest stats available on marriage in Ireland tell us that we are getting married older- the average age of a bride is now 33.2 and the average age of a groom is 35.3 and about 40% of us are getting married outside of the Catholic Church - about 5% are marriages in other religions and the remainder are Humanist, Spiritualist Union and Civil Marriages.
For most brides and grooms massive amounts of time and energy goes into planning the wedding day – venues, dresses, flowers, food, music, photographers, the list is endless for planning the wedding but what about planning for the marriage - what are the things we really need to think and talk about before the ‘I do’s’
Ray talks to two relationship experts Ray O Neil and Allison Keating who will feature in a new RTÉ series which will air in October
