Radio Forecast

Each week Gerry McArdle previews what's happening in the radio features, arts and drama department, including interviews with the producers and presenters of the various series about, for example, where the idea came from, where the series was recorded, who the interesting people (or places) were that they met along the way.

When asked if you, the listener, have an interesting idea for a documentary, what exactly does that mean? Or what are the guidelines for Sunday Miscellany? Or in the Drama area, what makes a good Radio Drama or indeed a good Radio Actor? And if the Features and Drama Department is running any competitions, like for instance the RTÉ Radio 1 Drama Awards or The RTÉ Radio 1 Short Story Competition, they will be highlighted too. 

Gerry will also feature any outreach programmes for schools and any support programmes for the Leaving Cert, such as Lear in Longford (as part of the Listening to the Leaving series) or the Getting it Right series.
