On the eve of New Year's Eve, as 2008 draws to a close, Seonaid is joined by popular RTE radio personality and Risin' Time presenter Maxi, allowed to stay up much later than is usual for her, for a session of music with a difference. Programme 17: 23rd of December 2008

It's Christmas Week, and Outside the Box, which does deal with many serious issues, gets into the festive spirit, pulls a few crackers and invites some very humorous guests to share some of the funnier aspects of being disabled. So po-faces are barred as Seonaid is joined by a panel that includes comedian Francesca Martinez as we prove that we don't take ourselves too seriously all the time.

Programme 16: 16th of December 2008

This week, it's our very own Toy Show. Speech and Language Therapist Judy King came to Dublin recently to conduct a workshop for Enable Ireland on toys and aids for children, and indeed older people, with disability. As Santa had already contacted presenter Seonaid Dunne looking for gift ideas for this particular group, Outside the Box went along, and indeed discovered a very wide of products that are not only educational, but a lot of fun as well.

If you are the parent, relative or friend of a disabled child, and are at a loss what to buy for Christmas, with Santa's visit getting even closer, Outside the Box is the programme that you shouldn't miss this week.

The HSE has been running an advertising campaign telling us to look after our mental health as we would our physical health, but is this getting through? 'Sex and your ability to perform sex, for a man, strikes at your very core.' So says Radio and TV personality George Hook, who is quite open about the fact that he is affected by the condition known as Erectile Dysfunction. Some might question whether this falls within the remit of a programme 'for and about people with disability', but presenter Seonaid Dunne and producer Gerry McArdle take the view that if a condition or syndrome affects the quality of life of any human being, a programme like Outside the Box should deal with it.

Dr. Tom Kelly of the Everyman Centre, and psychotherapist Dr. Trish Murphy join George Hook for a candid and revealing discussion about the disability formerly known as Sexual Impotence, Erectile Dysfunction.
