Tonight Olan talks to Baroness Chapman, from Leeds, the first ever Peer with a congenital disability to take a place in the House of Lords as a non-party political Life Peer. Baroness Nicky Chapman's life as a disabled child and adult has provided her with uncommon insights into the workings of our health and education systems, employment practices and transport provision. She is the elected Chair of Leeds Centre for Integrated Living, which promotes freedom of choice to disabled people by other disabled people. She is also a trainer and counsellor and is Chair of Leeds United Disabled Organisation (LUDO). Amongst her many roles she has been a local government administrator, a teacher of IT and a long-standing Board member of Habinteg Housing Association.
