There's lots of choice and programmes to enjoy as part of RTE Radio 1's Christmas line-up. From life with the Kray Twins behind the scenes at the Bord Gais Energy theatre, to Donal Ryan's specially commissioned piece where he imagines life for a refugee to novelist Joseph O'Connor's Christmas memories. Lisa Hannigan is In Session, Robert Mizzell sings some of his wonderful songs and tells stories of his life and it's take-over time for Late Date with guests such as Joe Brolly, Leo Varadkar, Aoibhinn McGinnity and Deirdre O'Kane taking the mic.

While performing at the 2015 Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, singer Melanie O'Reilly found time to chat with many of the international jazz artists including pianist Darius Brubeck, (son of the legendary Dave Brubeck), the saxophonist sensation Grace Kelly, Brubeck Institute Director Simon Rowe ,Irish artists the New Irish Jazz Orchestra , and guitarist Hugh Buckley , with the music of legendary bassist Marcus Miller and more highlights recorded in the unique vibrant atmosphere that is Jazz on the Lee.
Jazz singer Melanie O'Reilly revisits the Cork Jazz Festival of 2014, listening to stories and music highlights of some of the stellar musicians who performed there in 2014 .-such as pianist/composer Michel Le Grand, and including vocalists Diane Reeves, Carmen Lundy, and Carla Cook, pianists Bruce Barth, and Simon Rowe -Director of the Brubeck Institute. . Melanie also dropped in to hear the Cork Jazz Festival choir while rehearsing, led by vocalist Lee Gibson, while also receiving a little history from locals about the positive impact of the festival in Cork city and beyond.
