       Mooney Tunes returns!

Mooney Tunes, the phenomenally successful Concert Series featuring the RTE Concert Orchestra, RTE presenter Derek Mooney, and the combined input of his many radio fans, will return to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in December, 2015.

This will be the 12th instalment of Mooney Tunes, which began in September, 2009. In the intervening period, over the 11 concerts to date, as many as 18,000 people have been entertained, over 170 pieces of music have been featured, all performed by around 50 top-class performers and soloists, backed by the RTE Concert Orchestra.

A VERY MERRY MOONEY TUNES’ will take place on December 7, 2015, at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre. And for this show, we are encouraging fans to send us their musical suggestions along the theme of, "movies, musicals and magical memories!"

We have never been short of magical stories from our audience, accompanying their suggestions for pieces to include in the Mooney Tunes programs. Whether it's a song that reminds you of a loved one, a particular soundtrack from your youth, a theme that evokes a particularly strong memory, let us know. And tell us your story!

For further information, tune into the all-new Mooney Show, Saturday evenings, 6 PM until 7 PM, from Saturday, September 12, on RTÉ Radio 1

Mooney Tunes 8 - Ticket Update

The eighth concert in our hugely successful series of concerts entitled MOONEY TUNES will take place at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre on the evening of Sunday, March 24th.

Tickets went on sale yesterday, and already hundreds of tickets have sold! And they are priced very reasonably, as always, between €14.50 and €39.50. They will be on sale through Ticketmaster, and there will be a booking fee added on.

HOWEVER, if you DON'T want to pay a booking fee, you can go down to the box office at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, and buy your tickets directly from there.

ALSO, if you are going in a group of six or more, you can avoid a booking fee by ringing the group bookings line at the theatre. That number is 01 677-7999.

Alternatively, if you don't live in Dublin, if you can't get to the theatre, do get onto Ticketmaster as soon as possible after the tickets go on sale. The number to dial is 0818 719 377, or click here for more details.

We anticipate a huge demand for these tickets, so we'd advise getting your ticket sooner rather than later. Previous Mooney Tunes concerts have usually sold out within a couple of days. For more information, visit www.bordgaisenergytheatre.ie/mooney-tunes-no-8.
