    About the Series

    Over the course of four nights, Mary Robinson talks to John Bowman in depth about her life and work- from her childhood in Ballina to school and college in Dublin, her work as a lawyer and senator, running for and winning the 1990 Presidential election and her most recent work in the UN and in her foundation for climate justice.

    The programmes also feature audio clips from the archives, some of which will be well known to audiences but also some less well known inserts from family, in particular Mary Robinson’s father, the late Dr. Aubrey Bourke.
