    Mary Kenny set up the Irish feminist movement and made a name for herself in Fleet Street as an Irish journalist and writer. Mary Kenny has also been caring for her husband for the past 17 years. She is in studio to talk about her memoir called Something of Myself and Others.

    Coping with the Stress of Christmas

    Christmas can be a very stressful time of year. Aside from financial worries, for a lot of people the Christmas holiday period is a mass of complex social interactions with family or relatives. There could well be expectations, or at least perceived expectations, to create a ‘wonderful Christmas’.

    Psychologist, Patricia Murray, gives some useful information and advice on how to have a stress-free lead up to the Big Day.

    Pat Whelan is a 5th generation butcher. His family butchers "James Whelan" started in Clonmel and is now based in the Avoca shops in both Monkstown and Rathcoole. He is the author of The Irish Beef book.

    He tells us about the different types of turkey available (bronze and white), how best to cook them and if turkey is not the choice for your table, he gives the best alternatives
