Frank wants to raise the issue of N plates. He has a full car licence and in his younger years he was a scooter enthusiast. He hasn't ridden a scooter for many years and recently decided to go back to driving scooters. He was surprised to learn that he may have to wear N plates. At the age of 43 he would be embarrassed. The Liveline listeners discuss the new "N" plates and if the driving test really prepares you for life on the road.

Jack and his friends took the train from Dublin to Longford on the 27th June to get a connecting bus to a concert in Cork. A very drunk and aggressive passenger began to harass an old man who was sitting near them. Jack and his friends intervened with shocking results. He tells Joe his story.

Marys mother is currently in a nursing home. She is availing of the Fair Deal Scheme. She suffers from Alzheimers disease. The family decided to invest money in their mother's home to rent out. However, she has realised that 80% of the rental income would be offset against her mothers fees,  rendering the whole idea pointless. She tells Joe about her lovely home which is lying vacant.

Meanwhile Roisin and Sue, both private renters are facing eviction for reasons beyond their control. They are looking for security of tenure as tenants.
