We started  today's show with Anne Genocky, mother of Labour candidate Martina Genocky who had been verbally abused while canvassing in Dublin. Other callers had their say on the topic during the programme.

Following the news of the questioning of Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams T.D. in connection with the Jean McConville case, Jude White, whose mother was killed 30 years ago, spoke about not wanting anyone to go to prison for any wrongdoing during the troubles. Joe also spoke to other callers with personal experience of the troubles:

Mary , whose cousin was killed in the 1974 Dublin bombings and Catherine, whose aunt was shot in Lifford.
