On today's Liveline we spoke to trainee nurses who are finishing their four-year degree on the wards. The spoke of how hard the work is - physically, emotionally and mentally - and all for the below-miniumum wage of €6.49 an hour.

We spoke to John Moreland of the Irish Yeast Co - he is now 90 and has been working in the business since he was 16. He lives upstairs at the premises on College Street in the heart of Dublin.
