Mary completed the Westport Triathlon. She did the 750m sea swim, 20km cycle and a 5km run. This is the second triathlon she ever did. It was important because she turns 50 next Monday. Even though she completed all the events she was shocked to discover she had been disqualified for a wardrobe malfunction. According to appendix K rule 33 of the International Triathlon Union…..you can be disqualified for nudity or indecent exposure. Her towel slipped before she could get her bra on and she got a red card from the race steward.
Sarah logged onto the National Council for Special Education at 1130 today. This is a website that You can log onto this website to see how many SNA's are allocated to a particular school. So today, in the classroom she logged on and found out that her schools SNA allocation had been reduced from 4 to 3. She knew instantly, to her horror, that it was her job that was gone. Its last in first out. Bernard Harbour, Head of Communications at IMPACT says the panel has only just been agreed. The confusion seems to be arising from the fact that SNAs have not been given much information as yet about the situation. The impact trade union represents 6,000 SNAs.
