Liveline Monday 8 April 2013
Remember, the Liveline Christmas Special will be broadcast live from Dublin's Duke Street on Christmas Eve. This is open to the public and we hope to see you all there.
The life and death of Margaret Thatcher was the subject of today's Liveline with a wide variety of callers calling in to give their opinions of the former British Prime Minister.
Rory Fellowes began the discussion with the view that there were certain positives to her time in power, mostly on the economic front, but that she had very little understanding of the situation in Ireland.
Eoin took a strong view , that Thatcherism had a devastating effect on British society , while Joe suggested that her governments had a largely positive effect improving what had become a very damaged nation by the late 1970's.
Other callers including Laura and Nicola were more critical of her time in power and a number of people spoke of their expereinces living in Britain under Thatcher.
