Catherine’s daughter is cabin crew with Aer Lingus. Every day she is waiting to be suspended. She loves her job and is hanging on by a thread. Catherine tells Damien about the impact it is having on their family.
Barry Keane contacted the programme because he believes that the potholes left after the bad weather are creating dangerous conditions for motorists. He says that he has driven on the other side of the road to avoid them. More callers agree with him and tell Damien how they have spent on getting wheels and tyres fixed.
Peter lives in Ennis. The other day he was walking along the footpath when a girl came in his way. She was texting on her mobile. They almost had a head on collision. Peter was stunned to hear her warn him to watch where he was going. Peter thinks that people don’t have good manners these days.
Mairéad Elliots mother fell victim to a scam in Cavan town last Thursday evening. A woman popped her head into her sitting room and told her that she worked for the HSE. She stayed with Mairéad’s mother and had some tea. When she left Mairéad’s mother discovered the whole house had been ransacked.
