Listen BackJohn is currently attending a wedding in Malta. He was appalled when he discovered that the Irish Government’s Lear Jet is taking part in an air show in Malta. John wants to know who is paying for this trip and thinks surely that the Lear jet can be put to better use. Joe talks to callers about the Government Lear Jet and the work of the Air Corps generally.

Luke’s sister Mary-Blanche is 79 years old. Last Thursday she was coming through Terminal 2 in Dublin Airport. She got on the escalator with her bag and the bag got caught in the barriers. Mary-Blanche fell down the escalator head first and hurt herself badly. She’s badly shaken, as is Luke. Luke is angry that there were no signs there to warn his sister. Joe talks to other callers who have had bad experiences on escalators.

Fr. Darragh Connolly is chaplain to “Ann” the lay apostle who is based in Cavan. He talks to Joe about “Ann’s” work as a visionary and the work of their organisation “Directions for Our Times”.
