Michael lives in Goleen in West Cork. He says that the proposed closure of rural one man Garda station is a disaster for rural communities. Margaret also lives in a small rural community. She knows her local Garda well, she covers a 240km area. Margaret says her local knowledge is invaluable. Brian also lives in rural Co. Meath. The generator was stolen from his local GAA club at the weekend. There are a lot more robberies in the area and it is a very rural community. Their station is Duleek or Garristown and are not even manned all the time.

Elizabeth is a nurse. She is due to attend the operation room nurses European Conference in April next year. As part of the opening ceremony each delegate has to wear their national costume. Elizabeth needs the Liveline listeners help – what is our national costume?

Winston is a farmer. He went to check his calves the other night and was shocked to discover that two of his lambs were gone. The lambs had been slaughtered then and the carcasses were taken away. Winston believes it was someone who knew what they were doing.
