Terry Prone wrote in the Examiner today that she believed the Spire was a monument to the Celtic Tiger and should be pulled down. Our listeners rang in to defend the beauty of the Spire....one caller believed it was a beacon of light in dark times.

The diaspora dialled in from around the world to tell us how the news media were covering the financial crisis in Ireland. Some of them living in the U.K. spoke about how there was no way the U.K. should be involved in bailing Ireland out.
