RTÉ Radio 1's leading afternoon show Liveline will have their 'Funny Friday' crew: Clint Velour, Brush Shields, Brendan Doc Savage, Robert Carley and other musical guests down for the day. Joe Duffy and his team are now veterans at the Championships and a huge crowd will be expected for the live broadcast.

Death of Frank Deasy, RIP
Today the award winning Irish script-writer Frank Deasy died. He had spoken to us on Monday about his wait for a liver transplant and the vital importance of organ donation. Sadly, while he got the call for a transplant, the operation was not a success.

The Mizen-Malin Mission
Sam Hodgins contacted Liveline to tell us about a mission he's undertaking to walk from Mizen Head to Malin Head in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland.

The walk will take them over 570 kilometres, through 3 provinces and 9 counties. Make sure to get out and support them if they're in your area.
