The Best of Irish Country Music: Louise Morrissey

Tonight in this series, Louise Morrissey recorded at Brú Ború in Cashel, Co. Tipperary on October 9 2008.

Louise Morrissey is celebrating 21 years in Country music in April of this year, and what a success her career has been during those years!

In that time Louise has recorded several highly acclaimed albums, toured Ireland, U.K. Europe, Australia, Canada and the home of country music Nashville U.S.A.

Louise was invited to perform in eastern Canada last year with one of her favourite song-writers, the great Kris Kristofferson. He said of Louise "She has one of the finest voices I have heard in years, and if I could sing like Louise, I would never have had to write songs".

In February 2009, she toured as part of the Queens of Country, one of the most successful shows to be seen in Ireland.
She toured with country legends, Billie Joe Spears, Lynn Anderson, Jeanne Sealy and her friend Philomena Begley. They did a nationwide tour which was a huge success.

Louise enjoys a loyal fan base in Ireland and loves nothing better than meeting her friends and fans at venues where she performs.
She has a busy schedule for the next 12 months with a new album & DVD about to be recorded, plus tours of Spain, Portugal, Scotland and England.
