Human Rights Drama
This year's Human Rights Drama Season on RTÉ Radio 1 will feature four plays; Mountain Language by Harold Pinter and world premieres of dramas by Roddy Doyle, Frank McGuinness and Eugene McCabe.
The plays will be broadcast at 8pm on Sundays during October and will be followed by a panel discussion chaired by well-known RTÉ Radio broadcaster, Myles Dungan.

About RTÉ Radio Drama
The RTÉ Radio Drama department produces, directs and broadcasts approximately 40 hours of new dramatic radio writing each year. The department runs an annual competition for amateur playwrights, the RTÉ Radio 1 P.J. O'Connor Radio Drama Awards, which has launched the careers of many of Ireland's most successful playwrights. Recent drama series have included The Seven Deadly Sins, The Seven Ages of Man and Plays of Love and Loss.
RTÉ Radio Drama's department has won many national and international awards over the years. In 2007 RTÉ Radio Drama won PPI and New York Festivals awards for its production of 27 by Veronica Coburn, The Woman at the Window by John McKenna and Nomads by Lee Gallagher.
