June 12th 1988, it's the Republic of Ireland's first competitive match at a major football tournament and it's against a very old enemy.... After just 6 minutes Ray Houghton put the ball in the back of the English net.. the next 84 minutes seemed like eons to the Irish faithful... the goal was all the separated the team and it became a day that would be etched in the memory of Irish Football fans across the globe.

To mark the 20 year anniversay, Jack Charlton joins Des, we hear from fans that were in Stuttgart that day, news archive from the historic win as well as listeners memories.
