    Three year suspended jail sentence for former Fianna Fail councillor

    A former Fianna Fáil Councillor who twice contested the general election alongside ex Taoiseach Brian Cowen, was today handed down a three year suspended jail sentence on theft charges. Ger Killally, from Edenderry, Co. Offaly was convicted of the theft of over €18,000 worth of shop and refrigeration equipment at Mullingar Circuit Court.
