John and Mary want a baby. Having married eleven years ago, they've been trying for the last decade to complete their family with a child. They've spent thousands of euro having undergone various medical procedures, including intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF).
They've also gone down the adoption route, but after spending five years trying to adopt a baby from Vietnam, adoptions from that country were closed off and, again, the couple was left wondering how they could complete their family.
This is their final attempt at having a baby, and they're trying for the very last time through IVF.
This documentary follows John and Mary on their journey to become parents.
It's a journey which is both emotionally and physically demanding - highlighting the plight of thousands of Irish couples who need help in conceiving every year.
