Yvonne has made two documentaries for RTE Radio 1 DocOnOne, both set in New York City.

'Victim No. 0001' is the amazing story of Father Mychal judge, the first registered victim of 9/11.

"I became fascinated with Mychal after seeing his photo taken by Shannon Stapleton, I wondered was I related to him and started researching his life.

"What I discovered was an incredible story; an Irish American gay Fransiscan who embraced the marginalised of New York City. A real New Yorker."

The radio documentary 'To Love Two Countries' focussed on the aging Irish-American community of Woodlawn, New York, looking back on their stories of emigration, arrival, excitement and days of dancing and dating in their new strange home.

"I loved making this doc, in my auntie Mary's community of Woodlawn, and I made a few new great friends. Like Joe Cunningham. Joe is 99 years of age and rings me for a chat when he is not driving his buick around The Bronx."
