Documentary Maker: Sharon Davis

For more than 20 years Sharon has made groundbreaking local and international documentaries for ABC Radio in Australia.

She covered the first democratic election in South Africa, and was present when Kosovars streamed across the Macedonian border to escape the war. Her documentary on prison corruption prompted an anti corruption inquiry.

Sharon's work has been recognised by numerous awards including Australia's most prestigious award, the Walkley, four times. One of her programs received a Special Mention in the Prix Italia and she has been a finalist several times.

Sharon has also taught radio production in southern Africa and the Pacific, as well as lecturing at University.
