Louise Williams has spent most of her radio career working abroad - for Radio Netherlands International and BBC World Service.
She started out doing an internship at Radio Netherlands International before getting a job as a producer and presenter there. She left the Netherlands in '99 to spend a year travelling the Middle East as a correspondent.
Louise then spent several years in news and current affairs at BBC World Service in London. She also produced and presented several BBC series on religion, including a major series from South Asia which looked at the impact of the tsunami through the lens of the 4 main world faiths.
She was nominated for a 'One World' media award in 2008 for 'EU El Dorado' a programme which followed migrants from West Africa who are trying to get to the European shores of the Canary Islands by boat.
She is currently based in Dublin where she works as a trainer, as well as making radio features around Ireland and the world.
She has just started studying for an LLM in Human Rights Law.
