Documentary Maker: Linda Neil

Linda Neil is an Australian writer, musician and producer whose radio documentaries have won awards at the New York Radio Festivals. Linda was the Australian ABC National Radiophonic artist-in-residence in 2009.

Her family memoir, Learning How to Breathe (2009), was short-listed for the Queensland Premier's Literary Awards for Emerging Author in 2008, long-listed for the Age Book of the Year in 2010 and is currently being adapted as a stage production.

She has a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Queensland and was recently awarded a Writer's Residency with the Shanghai Writers' Program through Asialink. Linda's compositions and performances have also appeared on numerous CDs and soundtracks nationally and internationally.
