Irija

Irina De Cleir is a native of Latvia.

In 1996 she returned to Latvia with her son Diarmuid after 40 years in Ireland.

This story looks at how she left Latvia over 40 years ago as a refugee, worked in England and went on to marry an Irish man.

Her son Diarmuid is now a farmer in modern day Latvia.

Irina passed away in Kinnity, Co. Offaly on Friday, Nov 18th 2011.
