A radio documentary telling the stories of Irish women in their thirties, forties and fifties who are recovering from breast cancer.
Sunday 13th July 2008
One in eleven Irish women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. This documentary tells the stories of Irish women in their thirties, forties and fifties who are recovering from the disease.
There is no talk of HSE, Brendan Drumm, triple assessment or centres of excellence.
Instead, the talk is all about the first time your husband shaves your head, your son hears you throwing up, looking in the mirror naked and grumbling about Kylie Minogue's brave battle with publicity and breast cancer while flicking through magazines in the doctor's waiting room!
Producer: Ann-Marie Power
