A graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada and the Canadian Film Centre, Thelon is a teller of stories for theatre, radio and film.

His 2006 documentary for CBC Radio (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) Who is Vern Nash? received special mention at the Prix Italia and his follow-up The Voices of Vern Nash was presented at the 2009 Independent Features Conference in Dublin.

Thelon has written and produced several stage plays and short films and is currently developing his first feature film in Toronto.
