Marc Mc Menamin is a freelance journalist and historian originally from Ballyshannon Co. Donegal.
Marc holds a (B.A.) in English and History, an (M.A.) in History and a (PGDE) in Education from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
After leaving College he taught history, mainly in Dublin before taking a sabbatical to concentrate on journalism full-time. For a brief period he worked as an intern to Stephen Donnelly T.D. at the Houses of the Oireachtas.
Marc has worked as a historical researcher on a number of documentaries most recently TG4's 'Stailc 1913'.
He is currently working on a major political documentary series with TV3 and is researching a biography of 1920's Donegal Politician Major James Myles. He has also worked as a consultant on the Bundoran/Ballyshannon cultural tourism project.
He lives in Dublin but tries to get back to Ballyshannon as often as possible - outside of work he sings and plays guitar in a band and has been known on occasion to do some cycling and swimming.
