Colette Kinsella

Colette Kinsella is an independent radio producer from Dublin.

Her storytelling career started in the early 90's and involved 15 German butchers (she taught food hygiene courses in Germany).

After 10 years working as a translator and three years as a sub-editor in an English-language newspaper in Cairo, she finally started telling her own stories using the medium of radio.

Colette Kinsella has produced a number of documentaries for RTE "Documentary On One" and "The Curious Ear" on topics as wide-ranging as, life in a convent in an Egyptian oasis and the sounds of Dublin Zoo at night.

She produced "Science Bites!", a series of popular science inserts for "The Mooney Show in 2010.

In 2009, Colette won a gold PPI Radio Award for her documentary, "Through Cairo Airport".

Colette is a regular reporter and contributor for Radio 1's "The Business" and "The History Show".
