Documentary maker: Diarmuid McIntyre

Diarmuid McIntyre has managed Grey Heron Media based in Kilfinane Co. Limerick since May 2007.

His first production for RTE Radio 1 was Moths to a Flame, first broadcast on in May 2009. He has also produced "Bright Lights, Small Village" (assisted by Aisling Barrett) and "Take No More" for the Documentary on One.

Diarmuid is a regular contributor to RTE Radio 1's Countrywide. Other feature work has been for Newstalk and Limericks Live95FM. Diarmuid's programmes are often driven by actuality and by the richness of peoples interactions.

Involved in different aspects of Radio since his student radio days in the early 90's, Diarmuid managed the start up and early years of the Community Radio Station West Limerick 102 from 2004 to 2007. In recent years, through Grey Heron Media, he has worked closely with CRAOL the Community Radio forum of Ireland to develop the Irish Community Radio Movement.
