Elizabeth Rice worked for 30 years with the BBC in Belfast as a radio producer, making programmes in every department but specializing in natural history and local history.
She also contributed to Radio 5 Live and Radio 4.
Elizabeth left the BBC two years ago and is now freelance - still making programmes for the BBC in addition to RTE Radio One.
