Pink Day

The secretary of a Dublin boys' secondary school, Moyle Park College, was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Since then, the boys at the Clondalkin school, have held an annual 'Pink Day'.

It's a 'no uniform' day with a difference, the boys come into school dressed in pink and the event raises money for cancer research.

In 2012, the judges for the best-dressed boy were Olympic boxer, Kenny Egan, who is a past pupil of the school and model, Roz Purcell. The 2012 Pink Day raised over €1,000.

The programme was made by Terry Flanagan.

'The Curious Ear' is produced by Ronan Kelly curiousear@rte.ie
