Documentary Maker: Angie Mezzetti

More Information

Angela Mezzetti went to get her nails done.

One hand she put in the hands of the nail technician, in the other hand she held a microphone.

She wanted to record the phenomenon of nail bars booming in a recession. Partly to do with the success of shellac nail treatment - a formula of nail varnish that is extremely hard and keeps the nails looking well for up to two weeks.

Also, it's to do with the fact that you have to have shellac applied by someone else which means you have to sit there for a half an hour and while sitting there, you get to chat.
