Cathal Póirtéir discovers some of the connections which, since the 1700s have linked the South-east of Ireland with Newfoundland's Talamh an Éisc.

From St. John's to Placentia and the Cape Shore, Cathal Póirtéir traces the Irish descendants. Farmers, fishermen, storytellers and musicians help paint the picture.
