Brendan Balfe looks back on the bands that played during the era of ballroom dancing.

A three programme series looking at the Irish experience of Ballroom dancing. In the Forties and Fifties thousands of dancers went out every week to Foxtrot, Waltz or do the Quickstep. 

Brendan Balfe will be talking to bandleader Johnny Devlin, compere and vocalist, Noel Coade and pianist, Noel Kelehan. There will also be some authentic dance music from the bands of Chris Lambe, Mick Delahunty and Maurice Mulcahy and vocals from Frankie Blowers, Tommy Nolan and Johnny Keyes.
