About Sandy Harsch

Born and raised in America, Sandy first came across country music at weekend square dances at the local volunteer Fire Station. During summers in Wyoming she had a saturation course in the 3 Hanks (Williams, Snow and Thompson) which led to a lifelong fascination with all things country.
Sandy moved to Ireland in the 1960s and worked as a photo-journalist. Her start in Irish radio was as a contributor to Pat Kenny's excellent 2FM programme, "The Outside Track."

Sandy also worked for, "Hot Press," as photographer / reviewer / interviewer for several years. After presenting a variety of country and American music shows on several different stations Sandy started presenting, "Country Time," (with its blend of country, cowboy songs, rockabilly, Americana, Cajun, honky-tonk and bluegrass) on RTE Radio One.
