As peace becomes a reality in Northern Ireland and the prosperity of the south spreads northwards, John Cunningham and Elizabeth Laragy, who grew up on different sides of the border, trace its route from Donegal to South Armagh ask 'Nordies' and 'Mexicans' 'Just how important is the border today? 

Along the way they encounter historic demilitarisation in Crossmaglen, a Cavan man buying cheap cars in the North and even pay a visit to Gerry Adam's holiday home!
