Tonights programme features an interview with previous Audioscope Producer Gerry MacArdle, who recalls his time on the programme.

Programme 3: 29th September 2004
Alan Tobin from Cork tells Bethan about his college project which involved him talking to several blind and visually impaired people about dreams. alantobin@campus.ie is his Email address.

Programme 4: 6th October 2004
Bethan talks to Festus Asemota, a blind Nigerian man living in Cork. He tells Audioscope about his hopes to set up a new NGO in Ireland. His contact details are: 023 42005

Programme 5: 20th October 2004
Tonight's programme is a panel discussion about the effects of fireworks on guide dogs. A strong message from Audioscope - please take into consideration the traumatic results that firework usage can have on dogs and other pets. The panel consists of Joe Bollard, Paula Dorrington, Derry Lawlor and Simon Higgs from Irish Guide Dogs.

Programme 6: 27th October 2004
The BCI has just released guidelines for Audio Description. In studio to discuss this are Joe Bollard and Audrey Tormey, who have both used audio description, and Margaret Tumalty from the BCI. The BCI can be contacted at:

Programme 7: 3rd November 2004
Tonight is the 30th anniversary of the first broadcast of Audioscope's predecessor 'Listen and See', so we go back in time to hear all about its origins. We also hear some details from the recent Féach family open day which was held in Portlaoise. Féach can be contacted at:

Programme 8: 10th November 2004
Bethan and Dave are joined tonight by composer Stuart Lawlor who wrote the music for the current Audioscope signature tune. Stuart gives us a step by step approach on how to write a succesfull sig tune.

Programme 9: 17th November 2004
Tonight's programme is a panel discussion on the recent Diabilities Bill, and in particular how it affects blind and visually impaired people. The contributors are Cearbhaill O'Meadhra of the IDD, Des Kenny of the NCBI, and Shivaun Quinlivan of UCG.

Programme 10: 24th November 2004
Bethan interviews Tony Murray, who is organising a fundraiser for Irish Guide Dogs. "Dog Jammin'" is a jam session involving loads of great musicians, and takes place on Saturday 4th December in the Voodoo Lounge, Dublin, at 8.30pm.

Audioscope were present at a recent fundraising cycle from Dún Laoghaire to Wexford organised by Irish BlindSports and Mrs Quin's Charity shops in aid of NCBI.

Our reporter Patrick Doyle went along and spoke to some of those who were involved.

Tonight is judgement night! Bethan is joined by Stuart Lawlor and Dave McHugh, to listen through a selection of the shortlisted entries for the Audioscope Sig Tune Competition. The finalists were: Paul Butler, Robert Sandberg, Peter MacNamara, Joe Bollard, John Burke & Seamus Crowley, and Shane Ladden.
